The girl, the fish, and the mermaid (2010)
I hold him in a bowl.
A mermaid has been waiting for so long.
She can’t get through to the fish, he’s trapped.
The fish doesn’t know what to do.
The girl wants him to swim into the ocean,
but she’s scared he'll get lost.
Every time he ideals the Mermaid and he hears her calls.
He calls her too.
But it's hard, through the glass and the girl's eyes.
Singing, enchanting, she’s mythical but dangerous.
She's getting to the beach, the mermaid is closer.
The girl, she won't let the fish free,
Feed him, watch him swim,
she wants to take care of him.
He's happy in the bowl, he thinks,
but he's willing to risk the sea.
This mermaid could drown, reaching, torturing
He can't leave the bowl, but he suffocates too,
Lose his master, she'd have to go fishing a new.
They're all trapped, by the sea
Should the girl set him free?
